New GHD Rare Hair Straighteners With Leopard Print Heat Proof Pouch
GHD, which stands for Good Hair Days, is one of the world most famous hair and beauty brands. GHD are renowned in the hairdressing for having revolutionised the hair straightening industry, with the superior quality and performance of there products. Every few months GHD bring out a limited edition GHD hair straightener or gift set. These tend to either involve a new version of the GHD IV Styler or add something extra to the package, such a product.
In the past, GHD have been successful in putting together some very popular limited edition packages. There have been the Pink GHD gift sets, in conjunction with breakthrough breast cancer. The Pink GHD sets have also included a free heat proof roll mat or makeup set. In total there has been about 4 different Pink GHDs over the past 4/5 years. Another very popular GHD gift set was the Purple GHD Christmas Gift Set. This was released for Christmas 2008 and incorporated a unique pattern on the hair straightener’s barrel. There was also a Purple GHD travel hairdryer included and a heat proof roll bag to store you straighteners and beauty supplies.
So, what next for GHD? Well it has been announced that GHD are releasing another new hair styler which they will be calling the GHD Rare. The GHD Rare hair straightener comes in a glossy black finish will gold tinted ceramic plates. This helps to make this new Styler stand out in crowded market place. As well, as the new shiny black styler, there is also a special Leopard Print carry case and styler pouch. This pouch is heat resistant and can be used to store your straighteners after use, without the worry that they will burn your surfaces or bag. The GHD Rare IV Styler has then encased in a velvet effect hard bodied box to really finish off the package. The whole GHD Rare gift set have then been packages in a stylish looking box with lift off lid which is decorated in the leopard print to match that of the heat pouch. The tag line for the straightener is “A New Breed of Hair Styler”. Actually the styler is very similar to the GHD Dark Version which was released that year, but it’s not the same. The gold tinted plate’s makes this just that little bit different and the lettering on the barrel is also gold.
This time there is no GHD DVD with the gift set. However, the styler still comes with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty, worldwide voltage compatibilities, so you can use it abroad. A auto switch off mode, so you the new styler will shut and turn off if left idle for 30 minutes and the great regulated heat technology to has made GHD famous for those great hair straightening results. The new styler is expected to be released in May some time and the number will be limited, at estimation around the 60,000 mark and will come with a RRP of £129. If we judge the possible success of this styler on the previous Glossy Black GHD which was released this should be very popular indeed. So get ready for the GHD Rare IV Styler release, sometime after the first week in May.

Binary Rare Earth Oxides $179 Binary Rare Earth Oxides is the first book in the field of rare earth oxides that provides coverage from the basic science through to recent advances. This book introduces the unique characteristics of the binary rare earth oxides with their chemistry, physics and applications. It provides a comprehensive review of all the characteristics of rare earth oxides, essential for scientists and engineers involved with rare earths, oxides, inorganic materials, ceramics, and structures. The binary rare earth oxides bring us a variety of interesting characteristics. Understanding their fundamental mechanisms builds a bridge between solid-state chemistry and materials science. The book begins with a brief introduction to binary rare earth oxides, their physical and chemical stabilities, polymorphism, crystal structures and phase transformation and the association with current applications. The book goes on to present the band structure of the oxides using several quantum chemical calculations, which belong to a newly developed area in the binary rare earth oxides. Central to this chapter are the characterizations of electrical, magnetic and optical properties, as well as details of single crystal growth and particle preparation methods that have progressed in recent years. Later chapters concentrate on thermo-chemical properties and trace determination techniques. The final chapter contains a variety of useful applications in various fields such as phosphors, glass abrasives, automotive catalysts, fuel cells, solid electrolytes, sunscreens, iron steels, and biological materials. This book is an invaluable resource for materials scientists and solid-state physicists and chemists with an interest in rare earth oxides, as well as advanced students and graduates who require an approach to familiarize them with this field. This book provides guidance through a comprehensive review of all the characteristics of binary rare earth oxides. Rare Beasts $8.99 Fire ants. Fraud. Footie pajamas. Twins Edgar and Ellen live alone -- their parents disappeared years ago, and who can blame them? -- in the quaint, little town of Nod's Limbs, in a grim, gray house overlooking the cemetery and the junkyard. They spend their days avoiding Heimertz, the mysterious accordion-playing caretaker; pestering Pet, a hairy, one-eyed creature of indeterminate species and gender; and wreaking havoc on the hapless citizens of Nod's Limbs. But wreaking havoc can incur expenses, so the twins come up with a unique fund-raising scheme: They'll nab the pets of Nod's Limbs and transform them into exotic animals they can sell for big bucks. Not a bad plan, if one of the purloined pets wasn't a lethargic python with a raging appetite.... |

Rare Breeds (Paperback) $23.79 A rare breed is defined as a breed of livestock that is not common in modern agriculture, though it may have been in the past. Various national and international organizations, such as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, and the Rare Breeds Survival Trust of the United Kingdom, each define the exact parameters by which a breed may be defined as rare, and many breeds that qualify only have a few thousand or even a few hundred breeding individuals remaining in the world. These organizations promote conservation of heritage livestock for their unique traits, which may contribute to genetic diversity among animals important to human food supplies and economies, as well as to general biodiversity and improvements in animal husbandryLivestock refers to one or more domesticated animals, raised in an agricultural setting to produce commodities such as food, hair or wool for textiles, or labour. Livestock are raised for subsistence or for profit, and animal husbandry is an important component of modern agriculture, having been practised in many cultures since mankind first made the important transition from huntergathering to farmingAt first, promoting the eating of rare-breed livestock may seem like an odd way of conserving them. But unlike wild animals, farm stock has to pay its way or disappear forever from the planet |

On Rare Birds (Hardcover) $33.84 In this beautifully illustrated book, Anita Albus recounts the sad histories of several extinct bird species, including the passenger pigeon, the Carolina parakeet, and the great auk.
