The Five Sacred Mountains

Tai'an is a prefecture-level city in western Shandong province, People's Republic of China. Centred around Mount Tai. The leader of the 'Five Sacred Mountains', Mountain Tai is located in the centre of Shandong Province, lying across the cities of Tai'an, Jinan and Zibo. The City is an ancient and mystical land.

Thecity of Tai'an is located in the middle part of Shandong. It is a cultural city of scenery travel with a long history.

The country is prosperous and the people live in peace. The city depends on the gifted tourist resources, the tourism and service trade of Taian is growing vigorously about 8 million visitors at home and abroad come to Mount Tai for tour and sight seeing every year. The mountain was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as the world natural and cultural heritage.

The tourist commodities in Taian are abundant, many tourist gifts are handicrafts and souvenirs as red copper relief, black jade relief, celadon decoration plate and Wenkou antique pottery are characteristic. The local products are Mount Tai red glossy ganoderma, daughters tea, tuber of multi-flower knotweed , and lance asiabell root.

Tai Shan is and has always been the most climbed mountain in China. The first emperor of China climbed it. You can take a cable car to the top of the mountain and have a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley.

Autumn is the most colourful season in the Taishan Mountains layer upon layer of forests in the mountain are dyed out.

The Dai Temple is the largest and most completed ancient building complex of Mount Taishan and is to the north of Tai'an City. Most of the present attractions inside the temple were left over from the Han Dynasty. One of its attraction is the Bronze Pavilion. Lying in the north east corner of the temple, the pavilion is made of bronze castings. Intricate workmanship makes it highly valuable, thus gaining its reputation as one of the famous bronze pavilions in China.

Mount Tai temple was once called the temple of the Eastern Mountain, also call the Thai temple. Mount Tai palace, mainly offer sacrifices to the god of the east mountain Mount Taishan, it is the place where the ancient emperor came to Mount Tai to offer sacrifices to Heaven. Every building here reflects the elegance of China's ancient architecture art, every historical relic has reflected the development of civilization of Mount Tai.
